Transmitter
Ground Charging PadThe transmitter is a flush-mounted pad embedded into the parking surface. It houses a precision-wound coil that generates a high-frequency alternating magnetic field at 85 kHz. IP68-rated and engineered to withstand vehicle loads, weather, and daily abuse while remaining completely invisible to the street.
Receiver
Vehicle Charging PadMounted to the vehicle's underside, the receiver pad captures the transmitter's magnetic field and converts it back to electrical current via electromagnetic induction. Precision-aligned ferrite cores achieve >93% coupling efficiency across a ±150mm misalignment tolerance.
Rectifier
Power ConditionerThe rectifier converts the high-frequency AC output from the receiver into clean, stable DC power. It shapes the charge profile to match the vehicle battery's requirements, managing voltage, current limits, and thermal boundaries in real time.
Inverter
Power ElectronicsThe inverter takes grid AC power and converts it to the precise high-frequency signal that drives the transmitter coil. It operates at 85 kHz with SiC (Silicon Carbide) MOSFETs for minimal switching losses and maximum power density.
FOD Sensor
Foreign Object DetectionSafety-critical sensing layer that monitors the air gap between transmitter and receiver. If any metallic object such as a coin, a key, or debris enters the field, charging halts in under 3 seconds. Uses a combination of inductive and thermal sensing to detect objects as small as a paperclip.
Charging Station
Power & Control HubThe street-side station houses the inverter, grid connection, and communications module. It manages power delivery, authenticates vehicles via cloud, monitors system health, and provides status feedback through a minimal LED interface.
